A look back at a participatory concept developed to raise awareness of urban nature. The Biennial of Art and Urban Nature (re)connecting.earth (02) - Beyond Water and the works that provoke reconnection with nature in the city.

Throughout September 2023, the Biennial of Art and Urban Nature (re)connecting.earth (02) - Beyond Water presented artworks by 32 artists on the nature and biodiversity of Lake Geneva. From Monica Ursina Jäger's nearly 80-metre installation to Hans Haacke's historic works, the curator reviews the major works of the second edition, scattered across 11 venues in the canton of Geneva.
Bernard Vienat, art historian and artistic director, looks back on the works conceived for the exhibition and the art and science exchanges developed to reach over 13,000 visitors and offer workshops to 1,200 children.
