The French forest, a symbol of authentic nature in the eyes of city dwellers, is undergoing an unprecedented phase of industrialisation. Heavy mechanisation, monocultures, fertilisers and pesticides - forest management is following the model of intensive agriculture at an accelerated pace. From the Limousin to the Landes, from the Morvan to the Vosges, the documentary "Le temps des forêts" offers a journey into the heart of industrial forestry and its alternatives. Whether living forest or forested desert, the decisions of today will shape the landscape of tomorrow. The film was presented at the finissage of the exhibition (re)connecting earth in the EcoQuartier "Les Vergers (Meyrin)".
