Untitled (Tie)

Alfredo Aceto has created a textile work that plays with an additional small readymade element between the idea of a unique piece and an edition. It is a felt tie, with the upper part on a stretcher, each piece is decorated with additional vintage tie pins. These tiepins, which were searched and bought on the Internet by Aceto, give each object a unique character. Furthermore, Aceto also plays with the divergence of the work between an artwork and a design object, that runs through his entire practice and is an important aspect of his teaching at ECAL Lausanne.
